Les créatrices de cette entreprise, Emma et Enzia, ont voulu créer quelque chose d’innovant, tout en gardant un esprit vintage. La meilleure époque qui représente tout cela sont les années 20, les années folles, les Roaring twenties.

En gardant en tête l’idée d’innovation, elles n’ont pas voulu juste créer un cabaret. La prohibition a amené l’idée de bars clandestins, de secret, d’interdit. Dans cette entreprise, le secret est mis en avant, pour bousculer les codes et la morosité de la vie.

Mais il leur fallait une tête d’affiche, quelqu’un qui incarne parfaitement cette folie des années 20. Joséphine Baker s'est imposée naturellement dans leurs esprits. Maintenant, mettre en relation bar clandestin et Joséphine Baker ne fut pas une mince affaire, mais Baker signifie boulanger en anglais, l’idée de Bakery, donc de boulangerie, s’est imposée d'elle-même comme couverture pour le bar clandestin.

Comment faisaient les bars clandestins à l’époque ? Le code secret était de mise. Il en va de même ici. Un code secret vous sera demandé par la boulangère en service. Notre page facebook fournira des indices quant à ce code secret qui changera toutes les semaines. Cherchez les indices et trouver le mot de passe, et la clandestinité s’offre à vous.

Nous avons voulu intégrer un côté cirque, un côté représentation, pour ajouter un côté unique à l’expérience que nous proposons. Le cirque traditionnel garde un côté bling bling, strass et paillette qui correspond à ce que les créatrices ont voulu donner à leur cabaret.

Venez acheter votre pain et vos pâtisseries, ou bien venez chercher une expérience qui vous sort de votre quotidien. Osez braver les interdits de la vie et trépidez à l’idée d’être pris en flagrant délit.

The creators of this company, Emma and Enzia, wanted to create something innovative, while keeping a vintage spirit. The best era to represent all of this are the Roaring Twenties, the crazy years.

Keeping in mind this idea of innovation, they did not just want to create a cabaret. The prohibition brought this idea of underground bars, of secret, the idea of forbidden. In this company, the secret is at the center, to shake up the codes and the gloom of life.

But they needed a headliner, somebody who incarnates perfectly well this madness of the Roaring Twenties. Josephine Baker imposed herself naturally in their minds. Now, putting in relation underground bar and Josephine Baker wasn’t an easy thing to do, but Baker also short for Bakery. The idea of bakery also imposed herself naturally as a cover for their underground bar.

How did underground bars worked at the time ? The secret password was appropriate and necessary. It is the same here. The baker will ask you the secret password. Our blogspot page (joesbakerycircus.blogspot.com) will give you clues to guess the secret password, which will change every week. Look out for clues and find the password, and the gangster way of life will be yours.

Emma and Enzia wanted to put a circus spirit, a showing off side, to add uniqueness to the experience they are proposing. The traditional circus keeps a showing off side, strass and sparkles which corresponds to what the creators wanted to give to their cabaret.

Come and buy your bread and your pastries, or just come and look for an experiment which will get you out of your everyday life. Be brave enough to face the laws of life and get excited by the idea of getting caught red handed.
